Saturday 7/22

Improving running mechanics.  Although I am still unhappy about my hips being so far back in relation to my center of mass


Today I did a local sprint triathlon.  It was a Very hilly, challenging course.  The swim was only 525y in a pool, the bike was just over 10 miles (with over 1100ft of climbing) and the run was the standard 3.1 miles.  The run course was primarily off road and pretty much uphill for the first two miles.


Training
sprint tri... 9am
swim - 8 minutes
bike 31 minutes
run 21 minutes

Total days training- 1hr 2 minutes


Nutrition
6:30 am- half dozen protein pancakes w/ peanut butter and honey
8:30a- caffeinated gel shot
9:15a- 10oz Gatorade, 1 energy gel
10:30 (post race) 2 Mix 1 recovery drinks
Noon-4p- Several (6-8) "Non-recovery" based beverages at Golden City Brewery!
7:30p- Chicken wrap and salad & 1 more "Non-recovery" based beverage!
